The molecule range is what distinguishes Felix within the GLP-1 class. Ozempic and Wegovy are semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist; Mounjaro is tirzepatide, which acts on the GIP receptor as well and is a different drug rather than a stronger version of the same one. Felix is the answer to one specific question: which Canadian platform can prescribe tirzepatide. Mounjaro is a GIP and GLP-1 dual agonist, it is not interchangeable with semaglutide, and if a clinician has put you on it then the generic semaglutide programs are not an alternative at any price. Felix is the straightforward route.
On semaglutide it is a different story. Ozempic and Wegovy contain the same active ingredient as the authorised generic, Health Canada cleared that generic on demonstrated bioequivalence, and the price gap runs to hundreds of dollars over a year — widening as you titrate, because brand-name GLP-1 pricing scales with dose while generic programs hold closer to flat.
